1. Launch the Google Chrome browser and go to the QuantPrep AI page.

2. Click the “Add to Chrome” button and accept permissions to install the extension

   

3. Click the puzzle piece icon in the top right corner of the Chrome browser to open the extensions menu then pin the Quant Prep AI extension to your browser.

   

4. Navigate to your OpenAI account (Create an account if you don’t have one)

5. Visit the API keys page to create a new secret key

   • Make sure you have your billing info added in OpenAI Billing page. Without billing info, your API key will not work.

   • Note: A ChatGPT Plus Subscription is not needed.

     

6. Copy the secret key to a safe location

7. Click on the Quant Prep icon in your list of Chrome extensions

8. Click on the ⚙️ icon at the top right of the extension

9. Paste the secret key that you copied from your OpenAI page and click the “Save API key” button

   

10. You’re ready to go!

    Click on the “Give me a hint” button to get a hint for solving any quant question currently on your screen

  • The extension is FREE to use. The only cost is payment that you make to OpenAI, which can be as low as 5 cents per question.
